Overview
Exotic Day was an event that ran from May 27th (3:35 PM EST, 12:35 PM PST) to the official launch of the 2017 Summer Update on May 28th (approx. 8:15 PM EST). During the event, every Exotic that had been in Mystery
Boxes appeared again, with Berezaa claims lead to an significant increase due to the way the Mystery Boxes are programmed.
However, since the Blood Magic, Golden Clover Blaster, and/or Submitter Trophy were never in boxes, they were the only Exotics that didn't appear. As usual, Twitch Items did not appear in boxes without Twitch Tokens and Berezaa hasn't been releasing Twitch Coin codes as frequently in the months before Exotic Day compared to 2016. Since there are many exotic items to come, players in the future may not know about exotic items in the past or those available from 2015 to early 2017, so here's a list of ALL exotic items that were available in boxes during Exotic Day (In order from oldest to newest:
- 2015 Halloween Exotics: Spookmaster-5000 & Haunted Infuser
- 2015 Holiday Exotics: Santa's Workshop & Santa's Sleigh
- 2016 Spring Exotics: The Beehive, Ore Tixicator & Excalibur
- 2016 Birthday Exotic: Birthday Cake
- 2016 Summer Exotics: Wubium Mine & Volcango
- 2016 Autumn Exotics: Heavenly Wisp & Autumn Breeze
- 2016 Halloween Exotics: Flying Dutchman, SpookLord-95,000, Hades' Fang
- 2016 Holiday Exotics: Santa's Chimney, Gingerbread House, Ghost of Christmas Past
- 2017 New Year's Exotics: Winterheart, Festive Spirit
- Ultimate Update Exotic: Equinox
- 2017 St. Patrick's Day Exotics: Clover Shrine, Pot Of Gold
Exotic Day was originally thought of by the community, in response to the return of The Beehive in The Ultimate Update. Berezaa strongly considered this for a period of time until he decided to announce it along with the Summer Update on his website at the time, bergames.com. Initially the update was partially bugged, as sometimes the exotic is not awarded even when you land on it. It was fixed minutes later with berezaa releasing 2 codes that gave 4 Inferno Boxes each as a letter of apology.
Trivia
- This update was 35 minutes late, leading to many players losing lots of boxes.
- When Berezaa released the Exotic Day update, he streamed on Twitch after moving into a new apartment for the summer of 2017 living with other ROBLOX developers including Biostreem and Crykee.
- Since the event's inception, fans have been asking for a second Exotic Day. However, Berezaa had said repeatedly that there will never ever be another Exotic Day.
- Despite these words, Berezaa ended up doing a second Exotic Day with the 100 Million Visits Event, at the cost of shedding seasonal event-tied exotics from Mystery Boxes. Those exotics also received buffs.
