"A heavy conveyor which grants ore a small upgrader before launching it forward into the air." (CURRENT DESCRIPTION)
"Who needs ground transportation when you can send your ore by air?" (OLD DESCRIPTION)
The Ore Cannon is a conveyor that allows you to propel ore forward into the air. It upgrades the value of ores by 30% (1.3x multiplier) for the first pass, then upgrades ore value by 10% (1.1x multiplier) for the next 4 upgrades. Every pass after the 5th run only propels the ore.
Even though it has an upgrade effect, it doesn't count as an upgrade, making it completely viable for cell furnaces.
Despite being 'fixed', the Ore Cannon still does not work under laggy conditions.
- On Berezaa's Twitter, he posted a tweet stating that he will possibly be adding a new item, called the Ore Elevator, to replace the Ore Cannon. He said he will hopefully be able to add this in the March Update or the The Ultimate Update, but this was not implemented.
- There is a typo in the new description, "A heavy conveyor which grants ore a small upgrader before launching it forward into the air." The correct spelling should be "upgrade".
- During a stream on 2/4/2018, berezaa fixed the Ore Cannon by making the launcher part thicker, making sure ores hit it, and making the part at the bottom of the cannon non-CanCollidable, so that if the cannon fails by any means, the ores still would go on with their day if there is a conveyor underneath. However, the cannon still does not work well under poor internet speeds.
