The culmination of pure dedication. A machine unmatched by any other.

Overview

The Ultimate Sacrifice is a long-anticipated game mechanic and Ultimate-tier resetting device obtained upon performing the titular game feature. The Ultimate Sacrifice was added on the 8th of March, 2017 and it was first announced officially on the Berezaa Games Forums.

The Ultimate Sacrifice acts as a Resetting Device, which is a type of upgrader that resets all machine tags and negates all status effects. This can be used alongside other resetters, such as the Tesla Resetter.

Its resetting mechanic is paired with a small multiplier of x2.5, and an added Cash Icon $5k to the ore's value. In addition to this, it also has a few bonus attributes, such as larger multipliers of x25 and x50 if the ore's upgrade count is 0, as well as being able to be looped until the ore is worth Cash Icon $1qd.

The Ultimate Sacrifice upgrader is destroyed in The Second Sacrifice. What it is left of it will be yours to keep in the form of the Statue of Sacrifice.

This item is the spirit of the now-dead god of knowledge, Magnar.

Ultimate Sacrifice Mechanics

The Ultimate Sacrifice requires the player to be life 1000 or higher and requires three buttons to be clicked for verification. Upon performing The Ultimate Sacrifice you are reverted to life 1 again but with the 's-' prefix before your life. You start out the same way you originally started Miner's Haven, with a Basic Furnace, Basic Iron Mine, and 10 Basic Conveyors. You are also given 10 Ultimate Conveyors, The Ultimate Sacrifice upgrader, and any Soulbound items or mystery boxes you may have. (It is suggested that you save some boxes for after you sacrifice to give you a bit of a head start)

The Ultimate Sacrifice can only be performed once. After performing The Ultimate Sacrifice, you will gain the ability to craft Reborn Fusions at the Craftsman, such as Diamond Breech Loader and Eternal Fracture. The crafting of these items requires the use of Research Points to unlock the item as well as multiple copies of the fused items.

Like with Rebirthing, The Ultimate Sacrifice cannot be undone.

What Will I Keep?

Berezaa released an FAQ page on the Berezaa Games forums (that are now down forever) that further answers this question. Here are the following assets you keep after performing the Ultimate Sacrifice:

Sacrifice Escrow

For your limited-time seasonal items, those items are held in escrow and will be returned to you when you reach Life s-100 (you obtain the "s-" life prefix when you Sacrifice). The items that are held in escrow are listed below:

For the mystery box exclusive vintage, reborn, ultimate, and UC Shop items, they are gone forever. Good luck getting them back.

Milestone Rewards

Berezaa has acknowledged the users who have rebirthed far more than 1,000 times for the sake of it. Here are the special rewards along with the Ultimate Sacrifice for users who have reached these milestones:

Keep in mind that it's not worth the energy to rebirth several times just to hit a life 2000, 5000, or 10000+ milestone or above just to receive the perks as it will take more times to do the rebirths to hit the milestones rather than compensate for not receiving the perks that come along with the milestones.

Life Milestone Rewards for performing the Ultimate Sacrifice Additional Notes
1,000 - 1,999 The Ultimate Sacrifice upgrader and Cash Icon $50. This is 10x less than the amount of money you got when you started Miner's Haven (Cash Icon $500), and the amount of money when you rebirth into a new life.
2,000 - 4,999 The Ultimate Sacrifice upgrader and Cash Icon $25Qn. Enough money to rebirth into your 2nd life.
5,000 - 9,999 The Ultimate Sacrifice upgrader and Cash Icon $1DD. Enough money to rebirth into your 2nd (or 9th, if life skipping was enabled) life. You will also obtain the Overlord Device upon rebirth.
10,000+ The Ultimate Sacrifice upgrader and Cash Icon $1tsTG. Enough money to rebirth into your 2nd (or 22nd, if life skipping was enabled) life. You will also obtain the True Overlord Device upon rebirth.

Worth it?

By the time you reach your 1,001st life, you should have more than enough experience on Miner's Haven to be able to start all over again and regain all the progress you have lost much more efficiently than you did when you first started Miner's Haven, especially with The Ultimate Sacrifice in your inventory, adding a large sum of money and massively multiplying ore value. You can always regain Reborn items again. You will also have access to Reborn Fusion items which have unique designs and powerful effects, which were inherited from both of the fused items. You also receive a baseplate size increase of 6 units in both directions.

Times where you should not Sacrifice immediately is if a limited-time item you own has not yet been made Sacrifice proof, such as seasonal rebirth items, or if an event requires you to have a life requirement to finish fully (Like the Easter Eggs' life requirements needed to redeem them into items in Easter 2020 and 2021).

History of the Idea

The thought of The Ultimate Sacrifice was made by the user MythicShad0w and the Ultimate Sacrifice model was created by the user Negativize on the Berezaa Games community forums. The Ultimate Sacrifice was announced in early August 2016 and was released in March 2017.

It started off as sacrificing everything but Vintage, Exotic, and Collectible items JUST FOR the Ultimate Sacrifice. Berezaa pushed back The Ultimate Sacrifice In October 2016 but then, he considered save slots, having the same data on two slots and performing The Ultimate Sacrifice on one slot, and keeping all your data on another slot which does not seem like a bad idea.

Berezaa now realized how complicated The Ultimate Sacrifice would be and that this new mechanic would need more to it and more planning. After October, Berezaa stayed silent about The Ultimate Sacrifice until January when he realized where he wanted to take The Ultimate Sacrifice and announced March as the official release time for The Ultimate Sacrifice. On January 14th, Berezaa released this forum post where he releases the final plans for The Ultimate Sacrifice. On February 9th, 2016, Berezaa released the final images of the new items to be released in the update which includes 5 new fusion reborn items and 5 new slipstream items. Berezaa also later shown off items like the Hyper Mine, Assembly Unit, and Iron Refiner, the effects were unknown. On February 25th, 2017 Berezaa created the Twitter account @HavenRBLX where he showed off a new GUI design for Miner's Haven.

Trivia

  • When you perform the sacrifice the camera zooms out, plays this sound, and then zooms in to the point when you can only see your head, and then you explode and die.
  • When you sacrifice, your items on your base appear to crumble and collapse, instead of just exploding like in rebirthing.
  • The badge "The Ultimate Sacrifice" uses the icon of this item.
  • During the initial release of the update, there was an oversight where you would not have been given enough money to take advantage of the milestone rewards. This could be fixed by simply placing an iron mine and furnace and making 2 bucks, but it caused quite a few players to lose out on their well earned Overlord and True Overlord devices on release.
